Buttercup STEAM Camp 2025
xArm AI - Mission #3
□ Mission #3: Team Challenge – Two Arms, One Goal
Objective: Collaborate with your partner to program both xArm robots to complete a task together using sensors, motion, and teamwork.
□ Team Project Guidelines
- Each team consists of 2 campers.
- Each camper will use their own xArm AI robot.
- Your robots must work together to perform a simple task (e.g., pass an object, pick up and sort items, react to colors).
□ Requirements for Mission Completion
- Both xArms must use at least one installed module/sensor:
- Dot Matrix Display
- RGB LEDs on CoreX
- Color Sensor
- Both robots must pick something up and place it down.
- Robots must work together in sequence or at the same time to accomplish the task.
- Motion must be programmed and run using Wonder Code (block-style coding).
□ Team Brainstorming Tips
- Start by deciding what task your robots should complete (e.g., sorting colored blocks).
- Decide which robot goes first and which follows.
- Use action groups or Wonder Code to program their actions.
- Coordinate timing so your robots don’t bump into each other!
□ Example Projects
- Robot A scans color and lights up, then passes block to Robot B who sorts it into a bin.
- Both robots raise their arms to reveal a message on their dot matrix displays.
- Use RGB light color to indicate task progress (green for ready, red for complete).
